"10 out of 10: Fantastic new work by a talented artist." Excess Magazine

"The art of telling a good story is to keep the listener engaged. This album does more than that, it makes you want to dance and sway, it holds you spellbound and charmed, it makes you care for the characters and wonder what happens to them even after the last notes fade. And that is taking such an art beyond the everyday and into the realms of the extraordinary." Dancing About Architecture

"Adrian John Szozda has a keen sense of musicality that explores themes of romance and everyday living against an Americana roots backdrop while also fusing elements of country and folk amid the witty lyricism. The Life of Someone I Once Knew is filled with a fabulous synergy that makes this album’s release an important event in the history of music." Warlock Aslyum

"By far the highlight comes from his impressive storytelling ability for he brings the listener into his life, one clearly lived to the fullest. With lots of unvarnished truths that enter into the equation, the album feels akin to a grand journey. Every song adds to the last for there is a fantastic wonderful trail that takes hold over the entirety of the album." Beach Sloth.com

"This masterful musicianship inaugurates Adrian John Szozda as a formidable force coming up right now." Skope Magazine.

"What’s unique about this release is that it is actually a story. Featuring a full narrative, complete with hero and heroine, the album takes the listener on an avant garde and poetic journey. The tracks are packed with sentiments youthful exuberance, passion, romance and a bold “zest for life.” Don’t let the esoteric setup fool you into thinking this is a gimmick album. This music is of the highest quality, both technically and artistically." Anastim Ducray, Stepkid Magazine

In the end It's just you and me and a warm sunset Faces to the wind Feeling alive holding a kiss We were the wild ones on the edge of everything We were looking for the timeless Looking for the timeless

Terrified Romantic Love is such a simple thing so why do I run You’re selling lies and fairy tales to a guy that’s never won Well I’m trying not to fall in love as I’m falling from Grace With all of these doubts inside how could I ever win the game I’m high on love, I’m high on you I’m high on love, I’m high on you I’m terrified of nothing… except love Then I’m terrified of me I’m terrified of nothing… except love Then I’m terrified of me Now I’m telling lies and fairy tales so it all makes sense To commit my soul to burning love when I know nothing lasts Well I’ll start acting illogical because of all of these fears The guilt I’ll bear for breaking your heart or the tears when you leave I’m high on love, I’m high on you I’m high on love, I’m high on you I’m terrified of nothing… except love Then I’m terrified of me I’m terrified of nothing… except love Then I’m terrified of me I’m terrified of nothing… except love Then I’m terrified of me I’m terrified of nothing… except love Then I’m terrified of me I’m terrified of nothing I’m terrified of me I’m terrified of nothing I’m terrified of me

The Anchor 03:53
The Anchor I see you every night I see you all the time It's a feeling that won't let go One that only I would know It's the anchor that's wrapped around my heart My bittersweet counterpart That won't go, that won't go That won't go, that won't go The depth of your kiss it runs my heart It's slowly, slowly tearing me apart

Honey Bee 03:42
Honey Bee Honey Bee, Honey Bee Flying from flower to flower, looking for something sweet Honey Bee, Honey Bee You’re always buzzing round something pretty Flying around aimlessly, Flying around aimlessly I just can’t find love where I think its hiding, I just can’t find love Honey Bee, Honey Bee Buzzing round the garden, round the flower tree Honey Bee, Honey Bee Bring something sweet home to me Flying around aimlessly, Flying around aimlessly I just can find love, where I think it's hiding I just can find love, where I think it's hiding I just can’t find love, I just can’t find love I just can’t find love, I just can’t find love I just can't find, I just can't find, I just can't find love I just can't find, I just can't find, I just can't find love

Wanderlust 03:07
Wanderlust I couldn't see the shadows, they were a part of me I awoke with a red headed mistress, pale white and free I see that starlight, Flush on your brow I'm just waiting here, to meet up somehow I walk into the garden, like a rogue from the streets Trying to run from temptation, all lily white and fancy free I wonder what life could be like, if I wanted to be your recipe But I just couldn't let, the legend be I'd never question the answers, that come from the stars or the sea But the things I lost and left, seem to be beyond destiny All I do is question, all those bitter memories But the strength in our weakness, is what sets us free

The Sweat, The Blood, The Grey It's so strange, the way you lose me and find me again Connected with everything, If you feel a god we all feel the same thing In the sweat and the blood and the grey May we never grow old, May we never stay the same I'm not afraid, if you're totally free you couldn't lose a thing Cut from a fabric and sewn with love, broken in the lives of everyone Drifting silence sits heavy as a log, as I feel her go In the sweat and the blood and the grey May we never grow old, may we never stay the same I'm not afraid, if you're totally free you couldn't lose a thing The spirit chases its' tail, The windows fall and the air rushes in It's so strange, The way you lose me and find me again In the sweat and the blood and the grey May we never grow old, may we never stay the same I'm not afraid, if you're totally free you couldn't lose a thing

Barefoot In The Rain There's a rumor that it was all meant to be But that's the same thing that I heard last week There's nothing that I wouldn't do for you But I know that's exactly what I shouldn't do I never wanted to be just your friend And I never knew how long this would last Longing love it's a blinding faith While she's running barefoot in the rain The clouds are all covered and the wind has sailed The water has drowned and the cross is nailed It's all a little too much to ask To stop our love and never look back I never wanted to be just your friend And I never knew how long this would last Longing love it's a blinding faith While she's running barefoot in the rain I just couldn't keep my heart in a cage While she's running barefoot in the rain I just couldn't keep my heart in a cage While she's running barefoot in the rain She's a kitten named monkey in a doggy dog world While I'm just a dumb trained mocking bird There's too many things that I've got to say Just a moment round you seems to change everything I never wanted to be just your friend And I didn't know how long this would last Longing love is a blinding faith While she's running barefoot in the rain I just couldn't keep my heart in a cage While she's running barefoot in the rain I just couldn't keep my heart in a cage While she's running barefoot in the rain

Bloodstream 06:13
Bloodstream I am wasted, weighing the loss The turmoil and the cost, that keeps me here alone, alone never tells like a wishing well, when I lay with you I will wait, on a lone little girl In her own little world, drifting away from me I heard a whisper, from the other side of town A beautiful girl looks around, to see the world she's in Shadows of reflection, passing thoughts Old love stories, distant and strong Bloodstream, she's flowing through me No matter who I try to be, my forever girl Motion stranded, between the haves and have not's Between the love and the lost, between all the prayers Backbone, terrified of the unknown Terrified of being alone, only the best for you I will wait, on a lone little girl In her own little world, drifting away from me Bloodstream, she's flowing through me No matter who I try to be, forever gave its' word

Some say that friends are forever, lovers are bound to change Some say that love is forever and friends never stay I walked upon the land I walked upon the sea I walked the long distance between you and me I've been losing love and losing faith I've been losing time and losing my way Everything changes, Everything is Roses

There Was A Time I'm not here to walk away Cause we had something beautiful And I just can't give up on love Street light speeding headlight I'm stuck seeing 10 feet ahead Cause giving up is something that you become There was a time and there was a place When we both gave ourselves away And it's not something that's forgettable Why do you have to be drunk to open up to me It doesn't have to be this difficult There's no one here but you, me and love The better the girl the harder the pursuit If it's worth that much it's worth the best in you She's giving you everything, you got a lot to prove There was a time and there was a place When we both gave ourselves away And it's not something that's forgettable Love....Cause I'm not here to say goodbye No I'm not here to say goodbye I'm not here to say goodbye love, love, love love love Text messages in the middle of the night it doesn't mean you're infallible So charismatic when your drunk and fabulous There was a time and there was a place when we both gave ourselves away And it's not something that's forgettable Forgettable.... Forgettable.... no it's not something that's forgettable And I'm not here to say goodbye, Well I'm not here to say goodbye Love, love, love love love Love, love, love love love I'm not here to walk away Cause we had something beautiful And I just can't give up on love

Calico 03:46
Calico We were making love in the silence the way lovers do Before I could say anything she said I do It kept running all through my mind I never know what to do I’m in love again without a clue And it’s all because of you You’ll catch me on the landslide of your heart In the Calcutta lilies, drifted in the dark Trying to find my footing, as I’m falling for you I’m in love again without a clue And it’s all because of you Calico Baby I’ve been dreaming irony Cause I don’t know who I’m supposed to be Now I’m drinking with the stars to keep me company With no one left to believe We were making love in the silence the way lovers do And Before I could say anything she said I do It kept running all through my mind I never know what to do I’m in love again without a clue And it’s all because of you Calico Baby I’ve been dreaming irony I don’t know who I’m supposed to be Now I’m drinking with the stars to keep me company With no one left to believe

Baby Blues 04:21
Baby Blues Oh your sweetness is always true I see it every day in those Baby Blues An angel can see straight to your soul And when you’re staring through me I lose control, I lose control Your eyes could destroy any sin Cause those Baby Blues are so genuine When you look at me they cut straight through Those eyes, those eyes Your always true Baby Blues Well I admit that I’m not a perfect man In fact I’m more of an accident Whenever I find myself in the great in between Those eyes are quick to tell me where I should be, where I should be Your eyes could destroy any sin Cause those Baby Blues are so genuine When you look at me they cut straight through Those eyes, those eyes Your always true Baby Blues, your always true Baby Blues God knows where I’d be without you Probably in a ditch somewhere with the other fools Whenever the world seems to close in on me Those Baby Blues they set me free Your eyes could destroy any sin Cause those Baby Blues are so genuine When you look at me they cut straight through Those eyes, those eyes Your always true Baby Blues Your always true Baby Blues Your always true Baby Blues

about

Our story begins, faces to the wind, they were wild ones on the edge of everything, looking for the timeless, looking for the timeless, yet love.... yet love is an elephant, she's selling lies and fairy tales to a guy that's never won. Why commit his soul to burning love when he knows nothing lasts? All forward movement. He is in full indulgence, invincible, a romantic, passionate, pushing every boundary, embracing every freedom, youth at its best, the end of the perfect movie. It's not like our young troubadour to get attached, but this girl is like no other before, her anchor has started to catch, dragging along the bottom, the drift slows and begins to fight the wind.
Yet she is not his, far from it, he's flying around aimlessly. He just can't find love where he thinks it's hiding. A cute little honey bee keeps buzzing around his door, new love, easy love, no ties. His zest for life emboldened. He awakes with a red headed mistress, pale white and free, undying wanderlust, a life to be remembered, fame is of no importance, quality is.
Yet it's so strange how she keeps coming back. Gone for months, back the next, pulling at a piece he's trying to hide away. She's like a ghost on the wind, and if he's totally free, he couldn't lose a thing. There's a rumor that it was all meant to be, but that's the same thing that he heard last week. There's nothing that he wouldn't do for you, but he knows that's exactly what he shouldn't do. Longing love is a blinding faith.
His dichotomous position looms and he drinks, he weighs the loss, she is in his Bloodstream and he will wait, unsure what he wants, unsure if he can get it, yet lovelorn and longing. He sees the fire at the end of the road but keeps walking towards it.
Some say friends are forever and lovers are bound to change, some say love is forever and friends never stay, everything changes, and everything is roses. Her pull remains strong. His convictions grow, cause giving up is something you become. The better the girl, the harder the pursuit he thinks. If she's giving you everything, you've got a lot to prove. There was a time when they both gave themselves away and it's not something that's forgettable. He just can't give up on love.
One moment, he only ached for her, the next, their silence was deafening, they were making love..... and before he could say anything, she said I do, it kept running through his mind, he never knows what to do, but he's in love again without a clue, and it's all because of you. Bliss overcomes, the spell is complete, and love is his new priority. They get filthy wasted drunk on the dream of love. It overwhelms and is the greatest thing he's known. Despite his love of freedom, his love for this woman has won the war. Her baby blues have made him whole. She makes him a better man. It's hard to imagine ever living apart. They are half of each other now, the bond is complete.
"Tonight I give you my undying faith, that this love will forever stay, that I'll hold you forever close, no one will ever love you more, I'll hold you, till my dying day," are the vows he recites at their wedding. She is his forever girl, and forever gave it's word. "In the end, it's just you and me and a warm sunset, faces to the wind, feeling alive holding a kiss, we were the wild ones on the edge of everything, we were looking for the timeless, looking for the timeless."
